Frequently asked questions
Do I need to change accountant to use illico?
No. illico is the platform your advisor works in. If your accountant is part of the Moving2Italy network, your space is already there.
Does illico do my bookkeeping?
No. Bookkeeping stays with your accountant. illico handles everything around it: documents, signatures, onboarding, client information and the services you activated.
Are digital signatures valid?
Yes. Mandates and checklists are signed inside the platform and stored in your archive, ready to download as PDF whenever you need them.
I have just moved to Italy. Is it in English too?
Yes. The platform and every document request are available in Italian and English, so nothing gets lost in translation.
Are my documents safe?
Yes. Every file is encrypted on its own (AES-256) under a key used for that file alone, which is itself protected by a key dedicated to your firm: the keys never leave our servers. Files can only be opened and downloaded from the platform, after logging in, and the data is hosted in the European Union. The people who can see them are you and whoever at the firm handles your case.
